I hand cast a beautiful old, antique dowry box key using the ancient technique of sand casting, in which molten silver is poured into a cavity of the original key that was pressed into special compacted sand called 'Delft Clay'. (see photos)
 
Set onto the key, is a vivid green Chrome Diopside faceted gemstone. (Chrome Diposide is a recetly discovered, rare gemstone, mined in remote Eastern Siberia.) 
 
The chain is finished with a hand forged decorative hook clasp.
 
Finished with a satiny sheen, with intentional tool markings and PR makers mark.
Patinaed to bring out the beautiful textures. 
 
It's such a unique piece to wear alone, or layered with multiple necklaces.

      ​Remove your jewellery when showering, swimming, exercising and work, such as gardening, household chores, etc.

       

      ​Avoid using commercial jewellery cleaning products. They are too harsh on most gemstones.

       

      When you're not wearing your PR jewels, store in a safe, dry place..
